Father Anton's Weekly Column
“Habemus Papam,” We have a New Pope, Leo 14th, previously known as Cardinal Robert Prevost. He is the 267th pope of the Catholic Church. Let us pray for him and his vocation of service to the Church and the World. We also pray for the eternal rest of Pope Francis, our beloved and recently deceased Holy Father. Pope Leo is an American who has spent many years as a missionary in Peru as well as time in Rome under the care and guidance of Pope Francis. He too, like our previous pope is a member of a religious order, this time the Augustinians.
