Parish Priest: Father Anton Madej

Father Anton Medej, SCJ

I belong to the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Betharram. Betharram is a small village and shrine to Our Lady about nine miles outside of Lourdes.  Many people have heard of the Grottos of Betharram, but not so many about the shrine where our founder St Michael Garicoits brought our Congregation into being.

Your church needs you

We still require more volunteers to CLEAN YOUR CHURCH at Clayton.
We need a whole group still (3-4 people). PLEASE consider this request.
How about a MEN’S group?   Or surely there is a group of friends in the Parish, willing to volunteer, once every six weeks for one and a half hours of their time?  Contact Sharon in the office or Rosalind on 639421.

North Staffs LinkLine

Message of Thanks from LinkLine: On behalf of all the Clients and Volunteers at LinkLine I would like to thank everyone for the generous donations of stamps, money and fundraising efforts over the recent months. We appreciate the kindness and support that comes from the Parish for the LinkLine Project, which enables it to continue to provide comfort and care to the elderly and vulnerable. I cannot emphasise enough how much it means.

Baby Loss Matters

Our parish is participating in Baby Loss Matters, an initiative by the national prolife charity Life, to create memorial spaces in churches across the country to commemorate the lives of those lost before, during or shortly after birth for any reason. A memorial space has been created in the side chapel at Clayton church and includes prayers and a small memorial tree for anyone who wishes to make use of them. Please add a heart to the tree, with a name, if you wish.
